Privacy Policy
We only collect what we need to answer booking and contact inquiries, and keep it only as long as necessary. This website uses no cookies, and visits are only counted anonymously.
This is an English translation for convenience. The Korean version (개인정보처리방침), written under Korea's Personal Information Protection Act, is the legally binding text.
Wave Entertainment Inc. (“Wave”) processes personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and publishes this policy so that data subjects can understand how their information is handled and raise concerns quickly.
1. Purposes of processing
Wave processes personal information only for the following purposes, and will ask for consent again before using it for anything else.
- Handling booking inquiries — reviewing requests, checking artist availability, explaining terms and replying
- Answering general inquiries and partnership proposals
- Concluding and performing contracts — when a booking is confirmed: contracts, event coordination, and legally required invoicing
- Reviewing applications — applications to join Wave as an artist and to appear on 비정상축구 (Bichukku), and contacting applicants

Wave does not collect resident registration numbers, sensitive information or payment information through this website. Information needed for invoicing after a confirmed booking is requested separately during the contract process.
3. Retention
- Booking and general inquiries: 1 year after the inquiry is closed, then deleted, attachments included. Backup copies are deleted on a rolling basis within 12 months at most.
- Applications: 1 year after we decide (on hold or not selected), or 1 year after you apply if no decision is made, then deleted. If we work together, for as long as the contract runs.
- Confirmed bookings: contract and payment records are kept for 5 years as required by the Framework Act on National Taxes and related laws.
- Server access logs: kept for up to 3 months for security and troubleshooting.
- IP address a form was sent from: kept for 30 days to prevent spam and abuse, then deleted. Backup copies are deleted on a rolling basis within 12 months at most.
4. Sharing with artists
Wave does not share personal information with third parties, except that — with your consent — booking inquiries are shared with the artist concerned. Wave shares every inquiry openly with its artists, who review it and decide whether to take part.

Applications to appear on 비정상축구 (Bichukku) are shared, with your consent, with the show's co-production partners for casting (all answers, viewed only inside Wave's system, kept as long as the application).
Apart from this, personal information is not provided to third parties unless required by law.
5. Processors
Wave entrusts the following processing to service providers, and ensures by contract and supervision that personal information is handled securely.

6. Transfers outside Korea
Because these processors' servers are located outside Korea, personal information is transferred abroad as follows. Separate consent is requested when you submit an online form.

- When and how: transmitted over the network when you submit a form, send an email or visit the website
- Retention: as in section 3, and deleted without delay when the processing contract ends
- Refusing: you may refuse the transfer, but online inquiries cannot then be accepted
7. Deletion
Personal information is deleted without delay once the retention period ends or the purpose is fulfilled. Electronic files are deleted so they cannot be recovered; paper documents are shredded or incinerated. Information that must be kept under other laws is stored separately and deleted when that period ends.
8. Your rights
You may at any time ask to:
- access your personal information
- correct errors
- delete it
- stop its processing
- withdraw your consent
Send your request to privacy@waveseoul.com and Wave will act on it without delay. You may also exercise these rights through a representative with a letter of authorization.
9. Security measures
- Access to personal information is limited to the staff who need it.
- All traffic to the website and forms is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Work accounts use two-step verification, and servers accept only key-based encrypted logins.
- Staff handling personal information receive regular data protection training.
10. Cookies and browser storage
This website uses no cookies and no advertising or behavioral tracking tools. To improve the site, Wave runs its own statistics tool (Umami), which counts anonymously which pages are visited, where visitors come from, device and browser type, country and region (city level), and how far the booking form gets filled in and how long it takes. It does not store IP addresses, names, contact details or your answers; the statistics stay on Wave's own server (Hostinger) and are not shared with anyone. YouTube videos on the site only connect to YouTube (Google) when you press play; from then on, YouTube's privacy policy applies.
The booking form temporarily saves an unsent draft only in your own browser's storage (localStorage) for up to 7 days, and for 24 hours after sending it remembers your email address and chosen artist in the same way, to warn you about duplicate inquiries. After you send an inquiry, the forms also remember your name, organization, role, email and phone number in the same way for up to one year, so your next inquiry is quicker (consent is never remembered). This information is never sent to Wave's servers. The draft is removed when you send the form or press “start over”; the remembered details can be removed with “Clear” on the form; and you can clear everything at any time by deleting the site's data in your browser.
